Her Story

She is also an avid Yankee fan. She graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a Secondary Education Math degree. Growing up she always dreamt about being a teacher. However, she jumped at an opportunity to work as a paralegal at one of the top Intellectual Property Law Offices in New Jersey with her mom. She has been very happy and successful in her job and is considering it as a career. She loves Broadway, the beach and her pup, Bandit.

Now this is a story all about how our lives got flipped turned upside down and we’d like to take a minute, just sit right there. We’ll tell you how we became engaged to get married right here…
Colleen and Matt both went to Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. He was a business major and she was studying to become a math teacher. They both joined Greek life their first year at Kutztown and that’s when it all began. They became friends in the winter of 2008 after their friends Johnny and Alex started dating. One cold winter night, Matt walked Colleen back to her dorm after a night out and they had their first kiss. On the first day of Spring, he took her to Rita’s to get a water ice and they held hands the whole way there.
On April 13th 2009 they began dating after a romantic dinner at Olive Garden. From then on, their love kept growing. After 4 and a half years Matt finally mustered up the courage to ask…her father for his blessing to marry Colleen. The night before Thanksgiving, Matt took Colleen to dinner at one of her favorite restaurants: The Melting Pot. Little did she know this would be the happiest day of her life. The mood was set with rose petals and a candlelit dinner. “I love you so much and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?” he asked as he got down on one knee. The rest, as they say, is history. Please join them in celebrating the next exciting chapter in their lives.
